Update From The Community Allotment
February 1, 2024
The girls from Alfriston School worked so hard at the community allotment last week, helping to clear lots of old, rotten wood before making a start on sanding the picnic table and bench, as well as entertaining everyone with some beautiful singing!
The benefit of working with your hands on mental health is well documented. When we busy our hands on tasks that require little or no cognitive input, it frees our mind which works wonders for our mood and sense of ‘lightness’. That’s why gardening is SO good for wellbeing (and the soul). And made even better with a hot chocolate and biscuit break .
Many thanks to the Town Council depot staff for their help with the project too.
