Mayor’s fund – small grants for individuals

February 13, 2025

Second opportunity to apply for a grant from the Mayor’s Fund.

Following the positive response to the initial grant program, Town Mayor Councillor Dominic Pinkney is excited to announce a second application window, providing another chance for individuals to apply for funding for projects within Amersham.

The scheme provides support to residents who wish to undertake projects that will benefit their street, community, or the broader Amersham area.

Applicants can apply for up to £400 for a project which falls under one of the following three themes:

  • Community
  • Environment
  • High-street

We welcome any ideas within any of the themes. As examples. projects can be something along the lines of (but do not let this list limit your ideas):

  • An event
  • A bug hotel
  • A planter for your street
  • Producing and sharing useful information
  • Activity for children and young people

This fund is open to people of all ages, but if you are under 16 then applications must come from an adult on your behalf (e.g. relative, teacher).

If you have an idea but are uncertain about the implementation process, this fund can offer assistance as successful applicants can be linked with local organisations, groups, and individuals who can provide guidance to enhance the likelihood of their project’s success and impact.

The simple application form can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. If you need any help or support completing the form or would like to chat with someone about your idea, please email awards@amersham-tc.gov.uk or call 01494 434000.

The deadline for grant applications is 5pm on 7 March 2025.
