Visit to Bensheim
Last weekend Amersham Town Councillors Dominic Pinkney and Jason Keeler visited Bensheim to celebrate 45 years of Amersham’s twinning with the town.
The visit formed part of Bensheim’s annual Winzerfest (wine festival) which included performances from The Amersham Band who played at a twinning concert and parade. There was also an exchange between the pupils of Dr Challoner’s Grammar School and a local school.
During the weekend, Cllr Pinkney presented the Bürgermeisterin (Mayor) of Bensheim, Cristine Klein, with a metal bee, a copy of the models that form part of the Jubilee Pollinator Bed on Sycamore Road.
