Purple Crocuses To Symbolise The Eradication Of Polio

March 22, 2023

It is wonderful to see all the purple crocuses popping up around town.

You may recall the Town Council planted 8000 crocus corms in autumn in collaboration with Rotary in Amersham, who headed up the project and Stony Dean School.

The purple crocus is a symbol of the campaign by Rotary throughout the world to finally eradicate polio. So as well as looking lovely it is hoped that the crocuses will raise awareness of the campaign.

How can we help you?
