Mayor’s Fund – Small grants for individuals
Do you have an idea of a small project that would help improve or support Amersham in some way?
If yes, then we are pleased to announce we have a brand-new fund, brought by the Mayor of Amersham, Cllr Dominic Pinkney. This year, rather than supporting an individual charity, Councillor Pinkney is looking to support, through his Mayor’s Fund, dedicated to individuals who want to take on projects for the benefit of their street, community or Amersham as a whole.
Applicants can apply for up to £400 for a project that will improve or support Amersham under any of these three broad themes:
- Community
- Environment
- High-street
Projects could be just for your street, the local community or for all of Amersham. We are open to any ideas that fit under the themes above, but projects could be something along the lines of (but do not let this list limit your ideas):
- An event
- A bug hotel
- A planter for your street
- Producing and sharing useful information
- Activity for children and young people
This fund is open to people of all ages, but if you are under 16 then applications must come from an adult on your behalf (e.g. relative, teacher).
If you have an idea but not sure how to go about it, then this fund comes with help. Successful applicants, if desired/needed, can be connected to local organisations, groups and individuals who can advise to help ensure their project is successful and impactful.
The straight-forward application from to complete can be found below. If you need any help or support completing the form or would like to chat to someone about your idea, please email admin@amersham-tc.gov.uk or call 01494 434000.

The deadline for grant applications is 5pm on 28 October.
