Citizen of the Year Awards – Winners Announced!

Following Tuesday night’s Annual Town Meeting which took place at the Amersham Free Church, Town Mayor Cllr. Mark Roberts presented the awards to this year’s Amersham Town Council Citizens of the Year.

We are pleased to announce the following winners, who have each been recognised for their outstanding contribution to the community.

Citizen of the Year – Alison Bailey (for her ongoing service to the community, most notably through her work at the Amersham Museum and Amersham Action Group). Her husband John accepted the award on her behalf.

Young Citizen of the Year – Kie Daniel (for his contribution to community causes and selflessness, frequently putting others before himself despite his personal challenges).

Business Award – Barnett Waddingham (for their ongoing engagement and support of the Town Council, Amersham in Bloom and projects within the wider community).

Environment Award – Stony Dean School (for their environmental responsibility within their school and for their unwavering commitment working in partnership with Amersham Town Council to improve the local environment).

Mayor’s Special Award – Amersham in Bloom volunteers (for their dedication and commitment towards enhancing our award-winning town).
