Honouring Armistice Day with the Poppy Veil

It is an honour once again to see the Poppy Veil installed on the Market Hall, serving as a poignant tribute to all those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

This striking display features more than 3,200 handmade poppies, each lovingly created by pupils from The Beacon School. Every student contributed to this meaningful project, which was led by Michelle Jackson.

The result is a thoughtful and visually powerful display that brings our community together in remembrance and reflection.

The Town Council extends sincere thanks to The Beacon School for their creativity, dedication, and community spirit β€” and to everyone who has taken a moment to pause and reflect as we approach Armistice Day.

We invite residents to join us for the Remembrance Day Service at the Memorial Gardens, Amersham, on Sunday 9 November, beginning at 10:30am.
