Kelly Thornton (Deputy Mayor)
Outside Bodies : Citizens Advice Bureau
I was born in Amersham and spent my early childhood here before returning as an adult to make this wonderful town my home once again. Being appointed Deputy Mayor is a real privilege, and I am proud to serve the community that has shaped so much of my life.
I care deeply about protecting the qualities that make Amersham such a special place to live, our strong community spirit, the beautiful countryside that surrounds us, and the balance we enjoy between rural charm and easy access to the city. I feel passionate about helping to ensure Amersham continues to be a friendly, safe, and welcoming place for people of all ages and backgrounds. I believe the greatest strength of our town is its people, the connections we make, the support we show one another, and the pride we take in our local community.
Through my work on the council, I am committed to listening to residents, supporting local services and organisations, and helping Amersham continue to thrive for future generations.
