Public Art
In 2022, a project began to paint green utilities boxes throughout Amersham with environmental-themed artwork, bringing art into the landscape, cultivating civic pride and working towards combating graffiti.
To date, 30 Virgin Media/O2 and Openreach communications boxes have been painted by local artists, volunteers, schools and community groups, with a further 7 approved for painting this year.
The boxes form part of the Children’s Art Trail. A map can be downloaded here. Hard copies are available at the red telephone box outside the Royal Mail Sorting Office, Hill Avenue.

Come and join us for this year’s cleanup day on Saturday 28th March (9.30-11am), as part of the national Great British Spring Clean. There are two meeting points: 1.
