The Mayor’s Charity 2023

June 12, 2023

Each year the Mayor of Amersham chooses a local charity that he or she would like to support to help make a difference to the local community. Funds raised at local events that year are then donated to the charity.

The Mayor of Amersham, Cllr Elizabeth Shepherd is pleased to announce the following –

“As Mayor of Amersham for 2023/24, I have chosen the Chiltern Food Bank as my Mayor’s charity. Please support this inspiring organisation; the Chiltern Food Bank does amazing work supporting people in crisis in Amersham, Chesham and Wendover. Any donation you make is important to the Food Bank and the people who benefit from their kindness and dedication, and the generosity of donors.

“The compassion and enthusiasm of Diane as Co-ordinator and the Volunteers are inspiring. Also if you know someone who would benefit from the support of the Chiltern Foodbank, please encourage them to contact the Chiltern Foodbank for kind, non-judgemental help. The Chiltern Foodbank also works with other organisations and agencies to provide support to help people with other issues in their lives.”
