Councillor Elizabeth Shepherd Elected as New Mayor of Amersham
It is with great pleasure to announce that Councillor Elizabeth Shepherd has been elected as the new Mayor of Amersham.
Councillor Shepherd accepted the Chains of Office from outgoing Mayor, Councillor Mark Roberts, at the Annual Statutory Meeting of the Town Council which took place last night at the Town Council Offices in Old Amersham.
Councillor Dominic Pinkney has been elected as Deputy Mayor.
In his farewell address, Cllr Roberts paid tribute to his deputy Cllr Jane Barnes, along with fellow Councillors and Council staff, for their efforts during his two years in office, while noting what a privilege it has been to serve the community as Town Mayor.
