Christmas Tree Recycling

The Town Council would like to thank everyone that supported our Christmas tree collection and recycling initiative. The response was incredible with an uptake much greater than we had anticipated. In total £3373 was raised (amazing!) which will significantly aid our efforts to sow/plant more wildflowers and pollinators this summer.

All of the trees that we collected have now been mulched with the much of the compost being put to good use already. As you will see below, we enlisted the boys from Stony Dean School to help mulch newly planted trees at Willow Wood. A wonderful use of the trees that were donated as part of the project.
