TOWN CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER

Salary scale: SCP 48- 51, £42,053 – £45,129 plus Outer London Weighting £573.

Amersham Town Council is a busy and pro-active Town Council providing a wide range of quality services and facilities for residents and visitors. The Town Council is responsible for recreation grounds; play areas; open spaces; woodland; sports facilities; allotment sites; cemeteries; streetlights and community buildings including the Grade 2 star listed Market Hall. The Town Council runs a full service Depot and undertakes devolved groundscare services for other Parish Councils.

Amersham Town Council also runs a full list of Civic events including: Heritage Open Day, Amersham in Bloom activities; Amersham Carnival and popular Band Concerts.

We are seeking an executive leader of the highest calibre to lead our dedicated team and to work actively with elected Members on an exciting range of projects. Legal and financial expertise in local government administration is an advantage. Clean driving licence is essential. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
