Amersham Heritage Day Returns! Sunday 10th September 2023

August 11, 2023

We are pleased to announce the return of Amersham Heritage Day on Sunday 10th September 2023! It promises to be the best yet with a more jam-packed programme than ever before….with the event taking place from 11.30am until 5.30pm.

This year we have heritage buses running from Chesham (including Chesham Bois), Little Chalfont & Amersham on the Hill to Old Amersham.

Plus there will be live bands in the Memorial Gardens throughout the day, as well as petting zoo courtesy of Appreciating Animals, Punch & Judy show, coconut shy, medieval re-enactments, falconry displays & ferret racing, football activities courtesy of Amersham Town F.C., kids activity workshops, and the Chesham All Girls Band and Morris Dancers all pulling in the crowds! This is in addition to several pubs along the High Street, fairground rides and classic cars.

Heritage stalls will line the High Street complementing the craft stalls featuring demonstrations as well as a Vintage Tea Room being held in the Market Hall (upstairs), run by our fantastic Amersham in Bloom volunteers.

We will have live performances in the Memorial Gardens courtesy of Amersham Jive, Damo & The Dynamites, and Soundforce Big Band.

In addition to this, the wonderful Amersham Band will be hosting an open day at the Band Hall, Rectory Meadow, featuring performances from the Amersham Youth Band and the Amersham Community Band.

It promises to be the best Amersham Heritage Day yet – we look forward to seeing you then!
